The Role of Spiritual Teachers Along the Way By Liza

The Role of Spiritual Teachers Along the Way

Spirituality is not a doctrine, but a living search — for meaning, for purpose, for connection to something greater than ourselves. It is the inner life that whispers peace, the cultivation of compassion, authenticity, and self-awareness.

Religion, too, has its place. It is both belief in the Divine and the gathering of souls who share that belief. Christianity was born from the resurrection of Jesus — our Lord and Savior who became Christ through death and rising. His footsteps left us not only a new faith, but a living Light. “I am the resurrection and the life.” (John 11:25–26).

Resurrection is not only the restoration of life after death. It is the restoration of consciousness, the rising of awareness, the ascension of the soul. Spiritual ascension is this process: the shedding of old limitations, the raising of vibration, the awakening into a higher truth.

🌍 Growing up in South Africa, I witnessed division rewarded and destruction normalized. Families torn apart by bitterness, scarcity, and blame. Yet I also knew another reality: the embrace of farm workers who held me with love beyond color, beyond separation. That love was Ubuntu — the spirit of unity that sings in our bones.

Division breeds competition. Scarcity whispers “you are not enough.” Blame leaves a bitter aftertaste. But creation — the spoken word, the choice of Light — is available every day. To walk as a spiritual teacher is to walk as a Warrior of Light, cloaked in awareness, aligned with the Holy Spirit, knowing that every choice carries consequence.

Peace is not about being right. It is not about scripture wielded as judgment. Peace is compassion, forgiveness, kindness, humility and unity. These are the footsteps Jesus left when He ascended — the footsteps of Light.

✨ Why become a spiritual teacher?
Because the world needs mirrors of remembrance. Because division must be met with unity. Because scarcity must be met with abundance of spirit. Because blame must be met with forgiveness.

What does resurrection mean in your own life right now?

🔔 Mantra of Light

I walk as a Warrior of Light.
I choose creation over destruction.
I embody unity, compassion, and forgiveness.
I am held, guided, and resurrected in the Spirit.
