Today, I felt as though life was river rafting me by Liza

Today, I felt as though life was river rafting me—pulling, carrying, and testing my strength. Every surge reminded me of one truth: trust the flow. Do not resist the current or the weight of the waters; surrender to the natural rhythm of what is. Guard your heart, and let this moment be enough. Be gentle with yourself, whispering: “I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.”

“Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.”

The heart is the holy center,
the dwelling place of thought, will, and feeling,
the first resting place of the soul’s flame.
It is here that the Divine spark breathes,
and from here that life ripples outward.

To guard the heart is not to build walls,
but to tend a sacred garden.
It is to discern what seeds are planted—
words, images, energies, intentions—
knowing that each will bear fruit in time.

Guarding means choosing light over shadow,
wisdom over distraction,
love over bitterness,
truth over pride.
It is the art of stewardship,
protecting the waters of the inner well
so they may flow clear and life-giving.

Forgiveness is a secret covenant
between you and God.
Reconciliation, however,
requires two hearts willing to change.
One can exist without the other—
and this too is wisdom.

Thus, Proverbs 4:23 is not only instruction,
but invitation:
to live from the inside out,
to honor the sanctuary within,
to let your life be shaped
by the purity of the heart’s flame.
